Beyond Facts About God

What does it mean to be among the people who know their God? Daniel 11:32-35 gives a powerful answer. The Lord strengthens those who truly know Him and empowers them to stand firm.

In today’s world, distraction, compromise, and spiritual pressure surround us. Yet emotion alone does not sustain people who know their God. Instead, truth, intimacy with God, and a life shaped by His presence sustain them.

Furthermore, for the born-again believer, knowing God is the highest form of knowledge. It is more than information about Him. Rather, it is knowledge revealed through the Holy Spirit.

As we walk with Christ, the Holy Spirit leads us into truth. In turn, He deepens our faith and teaches us to love the Savior more fully. Therefore, people who know their God continue to grow in strength, wisdom, and spiritual confidence.

Why People Who Know Their God Walk in Strength and Revelation

People who know their God have a growing revelation of Jesus Christ. Paul prayed that believers would receive spiritual wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. The more clearly we see who He is, the more deeply we trust, worship, and follow Him. Paul likewise considered knowing Christ worth more than everything else.

We cannot fully love a Savior we barely know. In fact, John 17:3 describes eternal life as knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. Yet as God reveals His character, faithfulness, and mercy, our love becomes stronger and more steadfast. Knowing God transforms devotion from routine into relationship.

Knowing God Gives Strength to Stand Firm

Daniel 11:32 reminds us that strength flows from knowing God. Believers who know the Lord are not easily shaken by flattery, pressure, or fear. They can discern truth, resist compromise, and act in faith.

The people who know their God are strong not because they trust in themselves. They are strong because they have learned to rest in the power, wisdom, and promises of God.

Knowing God Produces Spiritual Growth

People who know their God also grow in patience, endurance, and holy affection. The Holy Spirit teaches them to see Christ more clearly in every season, even during waiting and suffering.

As they seek the Lord diligently, they become rooted in grace and established in truth. Their lives begin to reflect the character of Christ. As believers walk in the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit develops in their lives. Their obedience becomes fruitful because it is grounded in genuine knowledge of God. Jesus taught that abiding in Him produces lasting spiritual fruit.

How to Grow in the Knowledge of God

As you grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, your faith will grow with it. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to you more deeply each day.

As your knowledge of God grows, your faith will grow with it. Growing faith brings fresh strength. It enables you to stand firm, love well, and carry out the good works God has prepared for you.
