“Time to seek the Lord.”
— Hosea 10:12
If you do not know the Lord, now is the time to seek the Lord. To begin, the origin of the name April is uncertain, though it has traditionally been associated with the Latin word “aperire,” meaning “to open.” Therefore, as flowers begin to bloom, let their beauty remind you to open your heart and receive the Lord.
In the same way, spring’s blooming flowers remind us that now is the time to seek the Lord. Friend, let your heart awaken with a desire to know Him. Then, give your life to the Lord. As a result, you can experience the beauty of His presence and the joy only He can give.
Why Now Is the Time to Seek the Lord
Sadly, many people leave this world far sooner than expected. Consequently, they never reach the full bloom of life. That is why now is the time to seek the Lord. Above all, salvation through Christ is priceless and leads to eternal life.
Moreover, Scripture says in Hebrews 3:15 NIV, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” Therefore, do not say, “I will do it tomorrow; I still have time.” After all, no one is promised tomorrow. So, seek the Lord while there is time.
Why Seek the Lord
As days turn into years, life moves quickly with each passing season. For this reason, seek the Lord. Likewise, let each return of spring remind you to set your house in order.
Furthermore, now is the time to seek the Lord because the faithful love of the Lord never ends. Indeed, His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness. In fact, His mercies begin fresh each morning (Lamentations 3:22–23 [NLT]).
Therefore, do not dwell on what you did wrong yesterday. Instead, remember that the Lord has given you fresh mercy today.
Receive God’s Mercy
In response, be thankful for God’s mercy. At the same time, remember that every season of life is a gift.
Ultimately, spring’s beauty is more than something to admire. Rather, it is also a gentle reminder to respond while there is still time. Therefore, let the budding flowers call you to seek the Lord today.
A Prayer to Seek the Lord
Finally, take a moment to open your heart to the Lord. As you do, bring Him your hopes, regrets, and desire for a fresh beginning, and let this prayer become your sincere response to His invitation.
Dear Lord, as I open my heart to You today, please come into my heart. Bring forth abundant growth, flourishing, and prosperity in Your love.
