During my morning prayer, I heard the Lord say, “This is the year of faith and grace.” A few days later, after reading my morning devotion, I came across a blog titled “2024 – A Year Of Praise and Thanksgiving to God.” The writer began with:
“The Lord placed the above title (2024 – A Year of Praise and Thanksgiving to God) in my spirit…”
She added:
“This year is indeed a time to lift up the name of the Lord and testify to the wonderful things He has done in your life.” — Becooming the Oil and Wine
When I read that blog, I was speechless. The phrases “praise and thanksgiving” and “faith and grace” work in harmony because each supports the other. Praise and thanksgiving strengthen our faith, and grace meets us as we trust God. I believe the Lord used that moment to confirm His word to me: this is indeed the year of faith and grace.
Christian Encouragement
In this year of faith and grace, we must encourage one another and lift up the name of Jesus. Jesus Himself said:
“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” — John 12:32
We must stop magnifying our problems and shortcomings. Instead of talking about how big your problems are, tell someone how big your God is. Has God been good to you? Can you honestly say that you are blessed? Has God done something in your life that only He could do? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, pause and thank Him for His faithfulness and grace. Even if all you can say is, “Thank You, Jesus,” say that much.
We need believing faith that speaks God’s promises in this year of faith and grace. Jesus said, “All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23). If all things are possible for the one who believes, then unbelief keeps us from receiving what God can do. Faith reaches beyond human limitations and rests in God’s power.
Faith is both simple and challenging. It begins when we speak and believe God’s Word over our situation. The challenge is learning to see, in our hearts and minds, what we are declaring with our mouths. Too often, we say we believe what God says about us while continuing to see ourselves only through our present condition. Faith calls us to see ourselves as God sees us.
Romans 8:32 reminds us that God freely gives us all things. Yet we often struggle to receive from Him because we remain bound by limiting, impoverished thinking. We may say, “I have faith,” but faith is more than words. True faith agrees with God and expects His promises to be fulfilled.
Godlike Faith and Grace for Daily Living
There is a difference between having faith in God and living with Godlike faith and grace each day. In this year of faith and grace, Godlike faith is more than belief alone; it is faith that speaks, expects, and trusts God to move in everyday life.
It is the kind of faith that sees beyond present circumstances and agrees with what God has promised. When God called forth light, He did not focus on the darkness around Him. He spoke what He desired, believed what He said, and it came to pass. That is the kind of faith we should pursue in our daily living.
Earlier, I said that praise, thanksgiving, faith, and grace work together in harmony. Here is why: whenever we come to God, we are to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4). At the same time, anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
Grace, God’s unmerited favor, is a powerful force that enables us to possess things we do not deserve. For example, we do not deserve eternal life because of our disobedience, but grace gives it to us because Jesus paid our sin debt at the cross.
By grace, we are forgiven because of what Christ has done and not because of what we do. Grace transforms our thinking, enabling us to think like God. It gives us hope and expectation. That is why we should declare God’s blessings by faith and receive them by grace.
Trusting God in Difficult Times
We live in risky and uncertain times, which is why trusting God in difficult times is essential. In this year of faith and grace, we need God’s strength, wisdom, and supernatural protection at work in our lives every day. Many situations around us can stir fear, anxiety, and discouragement, but the Lord calls us to place our confidence in Him. His faithfulness and grace sustain us when life feels unstable, and His presence enables us to stand firm with hope amid trouble.
In this year of faith and grace, ask God for the things that seem beyond your own ability. Don’t be afraid to bring Him the seemingly impossible.

Amen!
Prospective: letting go of my adult faith, thinking, seeing, and then believing. Have that child like faith with a God expected end. I hear you!
We truly must change our thinking. We must become as children, pure in thought and intentions to receive in the year of faith and grace. Thanks for your reply, Dee.
“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ”(1 Corinthians 2:16). I am so thankful to serve a God who even when we are not faithful in our service towards Him; His grace, His lovingkindness, His mercy, His Word, and His unconditional Agape love for us declares how He is faithful to forgive us for our sins. He is a God who desires that we live “Above All Abundant” lives. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?(Matthew 7:7-11).
Very well said, Bro. Jefferson. Indeed it is the year of faith and grace.
