Oh, the wonder of praise and worship. It not only motivates the Lord to answer our prayers but also invites the unbelieving world to witness the goodness of the Lord. Every answered prayer is a testament to His faithfulness and a beacon of hope for those in need.
“I will bow down toward your holy temple
and will praise your name
for your unfailing love and your faithfulness,
for you have so exalted your solemn decree
that it surpasses your fame.”
Psalm 138:2
David’s vow to worship the Lord wholeheartedly was a personal connection with God, a response to His unfailing love and faithfulness. Today, let us also reflect on our reasons for glorifying and worshiping God, strengthening our faith, and deepening our relationship with God.
The Bible says that it is good to praise the Lord, for praise and worship are due Him. Our praise is a free will, sacrificial offering. (Psalm 54:6). When we worship God, we glorify Him for His goodness. When we praise God, we honor Him for His faithfulness. God is not only good, but He is consistently good all of the time. Life is challenging, but you can overcome every obstacle by offering to God the sacrifice of your praise.
Honor the Lord
We devote 100% of our time to daily living. Therefore, when we offer up the sacrifice of praise to God, it costs us something. That is the wonder of praise and worship: it costs something. The miracle happens in the offering. It takes time to praise and worship God, but it is time well spent. Just fifteen minutes of worship would remove every obstacle that blocks a righteous path to God. It would also motivate God to answer our prayers, for God loves the praises of His people. Before you start your busy day, take fifteen minutes to humble yourself before the Lord. Lift your hands and praise and worship God for His unfailing love and faithfulness.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to understand the wonder of praise and worship. Today, I lift my hands and my voice in praise and worship to You for all the wonderful things that You have done for me. Accept my offering of praise and worship, for it is my sacrifice of love to You.
