Only Things That Cannot be Shaken Will Remain

 “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.”
— Hebrews 12:26-27

In Hebrews 12:25-29, God declares that He will shake the earth and the heavens. This dramatic image carries both the warning and promise of Hebrews 12. God will shake everything that can be shaken. Yet He will preserve what remains rooted in Him.

In seasons of upheaval, God tests faith through shaking. The Book of Hebrews calls believers to remain faithful to Jesus in hardship. He exposes what is temporary and teaches us to hold more tightly to what is eternal.

God’s truth—His love, His promises, and His salvation—cannot be shaken. He provides the only secure foundation for life. When everything around you feels unstable, stand firm by trusting what God has spoken. His truth never moves.

God has chosen those who trust Him and called them into His light. As 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us, we are a royal priesthood and a holy nation. God set us apart to declare His praises.

That identity matters in times of shaking. It reminds us who we are and to whom we belong.

Unshakable Faith

Shakable things can change without warning. Money, success, comfort, and public opinion can all shift quickly. When we base our security on unstable things, we invite fear and disappointment. God uses these moments to reveal where we placed our trust and call us back to Him.

Many people build their lives on changing things. They depend on economic conditions, politics, careers, relationships, or social approval. None of these can provide lasting stability. Only God can.

To endure life’s shaking, stay rooted in Him. Refuse to let the enemy weaken your faith. Be like a palm tree that can bend in the storm without breaking.

Unshakable Salvation When God Is Shaking Everything

God still speaks today through His Son, His Word, and His work in the world. The question is whether we are listening.

God judged the people at Mount Sinai for refusing to heed His voice. We should respond with even greater faith now that we live under the warning and assurance in Hebrews.

You do not stand at Mount Sinai in fear. Instead, you stand at the foot of the cross and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Because of that, nothing can shake your salvation.

Markets may rise and fall. Circumstances may change. But God keeps your position as His child secure.

Nothing Can Separate Us from the Love of Christ

Another blessing that cannot be shaken is the love of Christ. No trial, loss, persecution, or hardship can separate you from His love. Because you belong to Him, you do not have to live in fear.

Stand with confidence. The power of darkness cannot undo what Christ has secured for you.

Jesus Christ gives us the unshakable gift of salvation. In a world filled with alarming headlines and constant change, that truth matters more than ever. God keeps salvation steady when everything else feels uncertain. Even in chaos, He reminds us that His rescue is real and His promises still stand.

Jesus rescued you from sin and eternal separation from God. He remains your strength in every battle. Through faith and patience, keep standing firm in difficult times.

When the world feels unstable, remember this truth: only things that cannot be shaken will remain.
