Like a Flood

Cry out to my Lord from the heart, you wall of Daughter Zion;
make your tears run down like a flood all day and night.
Don’t relax at all; don’t rest your eyes a moment.
—Lamentations 2:18 CEV

One of the most powerful weapons believers have is prayer in spiritual warfare.

The world is under attack by an unseen spiritual force, our archenemy, the devil. He uses fear, sorrow, guilt, and confusion to pressure humanity. He comes against us like a flood, which is why prayer in spiritual warfare is not optional for the believer.

But when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Bible says: “The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19).

Don’t be intimidated by the devil. Meet the enemy’s pressure with persistent prayer. While Satan tries to overwhelm you with sorrow, guilt, shame, lack, hatred, and violence, spiritual warfare prayer teaches us to respond with tears, faith, and persistence.

Our tears are not weakness. They are part of our cry to God. Instead of giving in to darkness, we can answer it with faith and pour out our hearts before heaven.

Crying Out to God in Spiritual Warfare Prayer

We are engaged in a spiritual conflict with spiritual wickedness. In this battle against darkness, prayer becomes our shield, our hope, and the channel through which divine intervention flows.

During intense warfare, we must launch our weapon of prayer. Heaven responds when we pray. Therefore, cry out to the Lord from your heart. Let your tears flow like a flood all day and night.

Our Tears Are Precious

When we pour out our hearts to God, we draw closer to His grace and strength. The enemy’s plans begin to lose their power.

So why seek the Lord with tears? Because they can become part of an honest cry before God. They are like diamonds in heaven, precious reminders of our pain and suffering.

The world may see them as weakness. But for the believer, God often reveals His power in our most fragile moments.

If something is bothering you, don’t hold it in. Make your requests known to God. Don’t be ashamed to let your tears flow. Bring every burden before the Lord.

When the enemy rises against you, God will lift a standard of righteousness and shelter you in the storm.

I thank You, dear God, for hearing my cries. Thank You for offering comfort when I feel overwhelmed. Teach me to trust You through prayer in spiritual warfare. I know Your strength sustains me and carries me through every storm.
