Diamonds in Heaven

“The Lord told him, ‘Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.'”
— Acts 9:11 NIV

Did you know that your tears are like diamonds in heaven? That’s right, your tears are like jewels that sparkle before God. Furthermore, God notices your prayers immediately. The very moment Saul prayed, the Lord heard him. Many times when we pray, we can only use the language of tears, sighs, and moans. Yet, God catches our tears in a bottle; He keeps them before His throne. The Scripture says, “You have seen me tossing and turning through the night. You have collected all my tears and preserved them in your bottle! You have recorded every one in your book” (Psalm 56:8). God sees your tears as diamonds in heaven. God knows of your sleepless nights. He has heard you crying, and He has kept record of them, for He cares for you.

Because our tears hold immense value in God’s eyes, they are transformed into radiant “diamonds in heaven.” They are not mere expressions of sadness but precious jewels that resonate in His presence. These tears shimmer like diamonds, capturing God’s attentiveness to our prayers immediately, as demonstrated by the swift response to Saul’s plea.

Your Tears are Like Jewels

Often, our prayers manifest as tears, sighs, and moans—a language God readily understands. He tenderly collects these expressions, preserving them as treasured memories before His throne. The Psalmist’s words eloquently capture this divine attentiveness: “You have seen me tossing and turning through the night. You have collected all my tears and preserved them in your bottle! You have recorded every one in your book” (Psalm 56:8). God is intimately aware of our struggles, our sleepless nights, and our cries, holding our experiences with unwavering care.

Our tears are jewels, like diamonds in heaven, and our moans are like music in God’s court. Our moans become music, like the sound of golden harps. Therefore, do not think for one moment that God does not hear your prayers. In Acts 9, Saul was on his way to kill Christians. Yet, when Saul earnestly prayed, God answered him immediately. However, Saul had to trust God’s instructions. If you will trust the Lord to answer your prayers, you will not be disappointed.

Lord, thank You for hearing every prayer I whisper, every cry I carry, and even the words I cannot find. Thank You for meeting me with love, understanding, and grace.
