The Spirit of Truth is Our Helper

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” — John 14:16-17

As I worshipped God this morning, I was reminded of the urgent needs of others all around us. Many people are still carrying the weight of the coronavirus pandemic, while others are facing violence, health concerns, rising food prices, and mounting bills. Some who never imagined asking for help now find themselves waiting in food lines for their next meal. In times like these, our nation and our communities need healing. Yet even in the middle of hardship, we can hold firmly to this truth: God has not left us alone. The Spirit of Truth is our Helper, strengthening us and lifting us above our circumstances.

How the Spirit of Truth Helps Us

Lifting my hands in worship, I thanked God for sending the Spirit of Truth to guide, counsel, intercede, advocate, and strengthen me in every season of life. He is not only our Comforter, but also the One who leads us in truth when our hearts are troubled. Scripture shows us that Jesus always responded to those who came to Him in faith for help. “Great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all” (Matthew 12:15). That same compassionate power is still at work today. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and through His Spirit, He continues to help those who call on Him. Truly, the Spirit of Truth is our Helper in every season.

The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, abides with every believer forever. While the world cannot receive Him because it does not know Him, those who belong to Christ are never without His presence. He lives with us and in us, bringing truth, wisdom, and direction in every struggle. When life feels uncertain, we can rely on Him for the help we need. Whether you are facing challenges in your health, finances, friendships, family, or freedom from addiction, the Holy Spirit is present to guide, strengthen, and sustain you.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. I acknowledge that the Spirit of Truth is our Helper, my Helper, and my Counselor. Today, I pray that Your Holy Spirit will guide me in truth and intercede on my behalf throughout the day. I trust that Your Holy Spirit will be my defense against the devil’s schemes. Thank You for Your strength and wisdom. I pray that You will keep me safe, healthy, and secure throughout the day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
