Standing in God’s Promise of Strength and Courage
God Was With Joshua
After Moses died, God appointed Joshua to lead His people forward. Joshua faced a weighty calling. He had to lead Israel into the promised land, face their enemies, and receive the inheritance God had prepared.
Although God promised to be with him, He did not reveal every detail of the journey ahead. Joshua had to move forward holding onto one unshakable truth—the presence of God. That promise became the source of his strength and courage.
Joshua points us to Jesus Christ, the Captain of our salvation (Hebrews 2:10). Christ has already defeated our enemy and now shares His spiritual inheritance with us. Because of this, Joshua’s story becomes more than history; it becomes a reminder of how God’s presence gives courage to His people today.
God’s Presence Gives Courage
Like Joshua, we also have the promise of God’s presence: “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you or forsake you” (Joshua 1:5). In seasons of uncertainty, His presence reminds us that we are never abandoned.
When we hold onto what God has spoken, we can stop demanding explanations and start walking in trust. His word is enough to steady our hearts and give us confidence for victory. As Romans 8:31 says, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
Living in God’s Promise of Strength and Courage
The promise that strengthened Joshua is the same promise that speaks to us in daily life.
God knows every weakness, fear, and unanswered question you carry. That is why His promise matters so deeply: “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you or forsake you.”
The Lord is our shield and protector. His presence surrounds us with favor. So do not let your situation intimidate you.
Since His presence goes with us, our response is not fear or retreat, but steady faith.
Walk Forward by Faith
Stand on God’s promises and keep walking by faith. Be confident that He will give you the direction you need at the right time.
Ephesians 1:3 reminds us that God has given us every spiritual blessing in Christ. He has also set before us an open door that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8).
By faith, we can walk through that door and receive what He has promised. So be strong and courageous. God is with you, so you are never alone.
He is faithful so you can move forward with confidence, peace, and hope.
Father, thank You for Your constant presence in my life. When I feel weak, afraid, or uncertain, remind me that You are my strength and courage. Help me trust Your promises and walk forward in faith. Teach me to rest in the peace of knowing You will never leave me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

His Holy presence is so DIVINE!
His presence can be sensed by the peace that He brings.
According to Scripture, even His peace surpasses our little minds comprehension, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”(John 14:27).
Yes sir. Nothing can compare to the peace of God.
