The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
–Psalm 138:8 NKJV
Trust in the Lord; He will perfect you by fulfilling His promise and strengthening you through life’s challenges and uncertainties. Because you are committed, the Lord is committed to fulfilling what He has initiated in your life. He will never abandon you. The Lord’s promise of perfecting you is a guarantee, not a mere suggestion. He will work to strengthen the areas of your life that need development.
David’s unwavering faith stemmed from his belief that the Lord would perfect and protect him. As a result, he believed that God understood his circumstances and would assist him. God established a covenant with David, as recorded in 2 Samuel 7, revealing a specific purpose for David’s life. God promised to protect this purpose, and He assured David that He would fulfill that promise. This principle also applies to you. God has a unique plan for your life, and He will not permit Satan to derail it.
Complete in Christ
Because you possess persistent faith, trust in the Lord’s promise to perfect you and remain steadfast in your faith. As Philippians 1:6 affirms, “He who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Yahweh is the Highest of the high and the Greatest of the great. However, He is also willing to become the Lowest of the low and stoop down to meet our needs. The Lord has saved you for a purpose, His purpose, and He will regard you with favor (Psalm 113:5-9). God is at work on your behalf. So, when you feel insufficient, get a grip and lean on God’s promise and say, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” Now carry this confidence into everything that you do throughout the day, for the Lord has promised and He will perfect that which concerns you.
Dear Lord, help me to remain committed to You, that You may perfect that which concerns me.

This is a needed reminder. God isn’t done with me yet, even when I feel lost. I’m holding on and trusting Him to finish what He started in my life. 🙏🏼
