“You are My Servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away.”
— Isaiah 41:9 NKJV

You are too blessed to be stressed. That’s why you should start your day with a smile. Isaiah 41:9 says God has chosen you; you are His servant. When you receive the grace of God in your heart, its purpose is to make you God’s servant. You may be an unprofitable servant or an unfaithful servant; nevertheless, you are still His servant, chosen to serve Him. You wear His name, feed at His table, and obey His commands. Although you were once a slave of sin, God has taken you into His family. Not only does God call you servant, but His chosen servant— “You are my servant, I have chosen you.” This is not just a title but a privilege that sets you apart.

God Selected You

God gives grace to the humble. You are God’s servant only because of grace, for you were not always so. You did not choose God; God has chosen you as His servant. The sovereign God of creation called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. He declared, “I have chosen you.” Before the beginning of time or space, God wrote your name upon His heart. Before God hung the stars in the sky, He conformed you to the image of His Son, and He ordained you to be an heir to the fullness of His love, grace, and glory.

Oh, how awesome is the love of God! He has chosen you. You are God’s chosen servant. You are God’s servant. He knew how stiff-necked you were. He understood that your heart was evil, yet He chose to love you. Our God is unlike us in every way. He does not cast us away because of our unfaithfulness. His faithfulness is unwavering. Because of His faithfulness, He says, “I have chosen you, and I have not cast you away.” Our God is faithful. If you trust Him, He will deliver you, for you are God’s chosen servant. He will love you forever and never forsake you.
