Know the Truth

Featured Post Image - Know the Truth

In a conversation with the Jews who believed in Him, Jesus said: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Truth and facts do not always align. It is possible to have all the facts but still not understand them. We perceive facts according to knowledge known or proven to be true. However, faith can truly comprehend truth—having complete trust or confidence in God empowers us to see beyond the facts.

It is easy to confuse truth with facts. When you look at your medical report, the facts may say that you are terminally ill. But when you know the truth, the reality is that God has healed you, provided you believe you are (Isaiah 53:5). Similarly, when you face a job loss, the facts may say that you are in financial trouble. But when you know the truth, the reality is that God is your provider and will never leave you (Hebrews 13:5). When you weigh your bills against your income, the facts may say that you don’t have enough. But when you know the truth, the reality is that God will supply everything you need (Philippians 4:19). Do not despair. When we comprehend the truth of God’s word, we know that the Spirit of truth is our helper.

Don’t let your situation’s facts ruin your day’s truth. When you know what God says about your situation, you can experience freedom from fear, lack, depression, addiction, and anything that adds misery to your life. When you know the truth, the truth will make you free, liberating you from the constraints of the facts.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You will not allow the facts of my life to blind me. Help me to understand the reality of Your truth in every problem, situation, and circumstance that confronts me today. May Your truth be my comfort and reassurance in the face of any challenge

This devotion was very helpful. I am encouraged not to let facts be my solution. God’s Truth is the solution to any circumstances I am facing.
Thank you Eric for this enlightenment.
