“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
— Psalm 46:1

God Is Near in Every Trouble

God is a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength. He is always near in times of need.

His covenant blessings are not only for comfort but for daily living. He has given us His Holy Spirit to be our helper. Truly, in every situation, God is a very present help in trouble.

When burdens, guilt, or fear weigh on the heart, we can turn to the Lord with confidence. Our Savior understands our weakness. He comforts us with grace and assures us that, in Christ, we are not condemned.

Receive His Peace and Righteousness

Scripture declares that God is our refuge and strength. He is always near in times of need (Psalm 46:1). Friend, because you are righteous by faith, you do not have to live under condemnation.

Receive the gift of righteousness. Lay aside self-righteousness and fear, and walk in the grace God has given you in Christ. He is your helper in trouble and your steady source of peace.

Furthermore, God is a very present help in trouble. He offers peace and strength for each day.

Jesus, Our Help in Times of Trouble

In Luke 15, many gathered to hear Jesus, even as others criticized Him for welcoming sinners and eating with them. To reveal the heart of God, Jesus told the parable of the lost sheep (Luke 15:4-7).

The Shepherd Who Seeks the Lost

He spoke of a shepherd who lovingly leaves the ninety-nine to search for the one sheep that has wandered away. When he finds it, he does not scold it or push it aside. Instead, he lifts it with joy, carries it close, and calls others to rejoice with him.

In the same way, our Lord delights in seeking the lost. He welcomes with joy every heart that turns back to God. This is another example of how God is a very present help in trouble, pursuing us with love.

All things are possible when we believe. The same Savior who seeks the wandering also draws near to help the weary. God has promised to be a very present help in times of need. He delights in caring for His people.

Like the Good Shepherd, He comes near to carry the weak, restore the weary, and bring peace to troubled hearts. Friend, you do not have to live weighed down by stress.

When you bring your burdens to Jesus, He will meet you with grace and carry you with love. He will prove Himself to be your very present help in trouble. Truly, God is a very present help in trouble, drawing near to each of us with mercy and compassion.
