Surely God Will Deliver You

Is there something troubling you today? Take heart: God will surely deliver you. Don’t give in to fear or pressure. Psalm 91:3 reminds us that He rescues us from hidden traps and protects us from deadly harm.

Moreover, God knows your heart. Therefore, you can trust that God will deliver you from every scheme and danger.

Haman’s Plot Against Mordecai

For example, in the Book of Esther, Haman, one of King Ahasuerus’s officials, plotted to destroy God’s chosen people throughout Persia. Because Persian law required everyone to bow before Haman, Mordecai’s refusal stood out.

As a result, an enraged Haman set a trap to accuse and destroy him. Yet Mordecai did not live in fear. Instead, he trusted that God would deliver him. Likewise, that same confidence can strengthen you against every scheme.

Meanwhile, Haman was sure his plan would succeed. So, he built a fifty-cubit-high gallows in front of his house. He wanted his household to witness Mordecai’s hanging.

Nevertheless, Mordecai believed that God would surely deliver him from whatever Haman had planned.

Remain Confident in God in Adversity

One night, King Ahasuerus could not sleep. He ordered his attendants to bring and read the book of records. There, he learned that Mordecai had stopped two eunuchs from assassinating him.

The king asked how he had rewarded Mordecai. His attendants answered, “We have done nothing for him.”

Ultimately, God honored Mordecai’s faith in Him and delivered him. Haman’s plan backfired. He suffered the outcome he had intended for Mordecai.

The king’s men hanged Haman in Mordecai’s place. This proved again that God will surely deliver you. Read the rest of the story in Esther 3–8.

God Will Surely Deliver You

Let the word “surely” be your word from God today and every day. No matter what you face, God will deliver you.

Have faith in God. He will surely deliver you from whatever has you bound.

Thank You, Father. I am confident that You will deliver me from Satan’s hidden traps, sickness, and disease.
