Discover how Jesus promises, ‘I will give you rest’ from anxiety and stress. Find peace in His presence today. One of the most difficult things to do these days is rest. I’m not talking about the kind of rest that you long for after a hard day of working. I’m talking about rest from carrying things that burden our souls, like anxiety, stress, worry, and sin. The only place you can get this kind of rest is in the presence of Jesus. Today, He calls for you. If you answer His call and accept His offer, He will give you rest.

In many ways, the heavy burdens that life attaches to us weigh us down. Some examples of life’s burdens include sickness, death, relationship problems, financial hardships, and emotional pain. However, there is rest in God’s Son. That’s because our heavenly Father reveals Himself to the Son, and the Son reveals Himself and the Father to those who are willing to come to Him in faith.
Take a Vacation in Christ
If your life seems overwhelming and spiritually exhausting, this is a word from the Lord in season for you (Isaiah 50:4). The Lord wants to give you rest. If you reach out to Him in faith, He will bless you. Jesus is our Noah, whose name meant rest (Genesis 5:29). Our Lord has promised to give us rest from the turmoil of life and from the terror and power of sin by giving us peace. His peace is not like the world’s peace. It is the kind of peace that surpasses our understanding.
Jesus invites us to take His yoke. A yoke is something, usually a piece of wood, that fastens two animals together for the purpose of pulling a load. When Jesus asks us to take His yoke, He is saying He will yoke Himself to us and teach us how to carry our burdens without the added stress that life inflicts.
Today, if you will take His yoke and allow Him to help you carry your burdens, He will help you find peace. If you invite Him into your heart today, you will find rest.
Amen 🙌 Jesus is inviting us to lay down the weight we carry, like anxiety, stress, worry, and sin, and find true rest in Him. Life can be heavy, but He promises gentle guidance and peace that goes beyond understanding. Let us take His yoke, trust Him, and allow Him to lighten our load today.
